We're nationally recognized for our program is School of Engineering and Computer Science, Division of Business and Humanities, and Division of Applied Arts. International Education Center, Kimpo College
The College established the International Education Center in 2000 to promote various international cooperative programs. The College has many international cooperative program for the students and faculty to experience globalization. The College has agreements with many well-known university overseas the facilitate student and faculty exchange and joint research.
The International Education Center also offers Korean Language courses throught the year for international students., The excellent reputation of the Korean Language Program is spreading from the students who have participated in our program. Our teachers, all specialists in Korean Language education, employ effective and innovative teaching methods and create a friendly environment. The unique program designed with a special emphasis on improving Korean speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.

1. Requirement
High school diploma or its equivalent is minimum requirement for admission. An expectant graduate can apply 6 month prior to graduation.

3. Class detail
  • Classes are given at Six levels of proficiency, from beginner to advanced
  • Each academic year consists of 4 sessions
  • One sessions consists of 200 hours lessons (10 weeks/sessions, 5 days/week, 4hour/day)
  • Class time is 9AM ~ 1PM
  • The number of students in each class : 10~20 person/class
  • Vacation is 2-3 weeks between each session
  • 3 off-campus excursions and 2 on-campus cultural experience programs offered.
4. Fee
  • Tuition fee : 4,400,000 won/year (10% of scholarship will be applied for Mongolian Students)
  • Materials : 100,000 won/year
  • Dormitory : 1,440,000 won/ year (meal is not included)
  • Application fee : 30,000 won
  • Airport pickup is free of charge
  • Total Fee is 5,970,000 won for first year (5,570,000 won for Mongolian Students, Korean Language Program)
5. Application, Admission and Registration
  • Application Materials and Admission
    - application form : the application form is attached to the brochure and can also be got by sending email to kukje@kimpo.ac.kr. Please be sure to include an e-mail address, phone and fax number.
    - statement of purpose of study : this will include your study plan and may be pronted or typed in Korean, Chinese or English.
    - copies of the official academic transcript from the last school you attended.
    - resume or curriculum vitae : may be typed or printed legibly in Korean or English
    - photocopy of your passport
    - 2 photos
    - additional documents depending on nationality of applicant
  • Admission Procedure
    - Please send you application documents by post mail, E-mail, or FAX. Candidates will be selected after the required documents have been screened.
    - Applicants will be notified indicidually of the screening result within a week. Some additional documents can be requested by the college to apply for visa.
    - Tuition payment.
    - Admission sending.
    - Applying visa to Korea Embassy
6. Dormitory
  • Offer fully furnished & equipped Quad or Triple share room
  • Self-catering facilities (kitchen), shower room in each dormitory room
  • 120,000 won/month (meals are not included)
7. Useful Information
  • Estimated living expenses
  • Meals : on campus : 2,000 won; off campus : 3,000~4,000 won
  • Miscellaneous personal expense : approximately 150,000 won/month

5. Tuition Fee
Korean Students : 5,100,000 won ~ 6,800,000 won/year
International Students : 3,060,000 won ~ 4,080,000 won/year
- The students who completed Korean Language Program at Kimpo College
- This is 40% off their tuition as scholarship
- Tuition free is depending on major

6. Required Documents
  • Completed application form (our form)
  • Two photos (3x4 cm)
  • Certificates of Graduation from High School & Transcripts
  • Copy of both the applicant's and his (her) parent's passports or identification cards.
  • Copy of Applicant's family register
  • Parent's certificate of employment or business permission & annual income
  • Certificate of financial guarantee : Applicant's financial sponsor's Bank Certificate showing that the sponsor has / will have more than $10,000 in bank account for the more than one month counting forward from the application date
  • Some of the above documents may be exempted for some nationalities
  • All documents must be written in English (or Korean). A translate copy (Notarization required) is requested in case of other languages.
  • When copied documents presented, the original copy must be included for verification (the original copy will be returned to you address)
